Every day, we are getting closer to the World Cup, which this year will be held in my beloved country. So I will try to give more insider tips from Rio and Sao Paulo for those who hope to visit Brazil.

At the Copacabana Palace, a traditional hotel in Rio, you will find Mee, a pan- Asian restaurant which opened this year. It boasts menus developed by Chinese-American Ken Hom. Hom is a multi award-winning chef who has published 36 books and featured on many shows on the BBC. The food is definitely worth the trip.

In the space once occupied by the Bar do Copa, the menu at Mee is a mixture of the freshest sushi and most exotic hot dishes. The Pancetta Crispy Pork is a highlight. At the sushi bar, I recommend the ‘sashiMEE’, which include delicacies such as eel, crab and scallops in truffle butter.

Undoubtedly, it's an address that outsiders and locals will flock to.
