In April, the unique Italian fashion Glamour of the second half of the twentieth century will invade the Victoria & Albert Museum.

The exhibition ''The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014'' will have movies, photos and more than 100 pieces of clothing and accessories from the crème de la crème of Italian brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Missoni, Prada, Valentino, Versace and Bulgari.

The aim of the show is to give a boost and inject some self-esteem into the economy that is increasingly sinking deeper and deeper into the mud.

Given the importance of Italian brands for the fashion history, and my affection for the country in which I have ancestral roots, I hope that the exhibition is a success!
