When we Brazilians think of jelly shoes we think about Melissa immediately. Melissas were our childhood sandals and have since then made a strong come back, juicing out incredible stylish shoes, all made of plastic. I have talked about several of the brand's partnerships here in the past since I believe in their creative vision and their mission to create a more sustainable product each time.

Now, Melissa has partnered with Cartel 011, from São Paulo, to create a sandal - the Flox III - the first to use wooden fiber in its sole. The fiber is made from reforested wood and the sandal's soles were inspired on men's boots. The final result is a unique sandal that is feminine - but with a hard edge to it. Top that with its environmentally conscious production - and it just about becomes the sandal of the future.
