Though I am in London, I always try to keep up with what's happening in Brazil. São Paulo Fashion Week began this weekend so I naturally wanted to share with you what's happening down there sartorially, for the 2016 Winter.
The first show was Alexandre Herchcovitch, one of Brazil's most renown and audacious designers. He has always defied standard notions of beauty, which is rare to see inside Brazilian fashion, to be honest. His collection was boudoir-inspired, taking women's undergarments from under - literally. He partially covered some of the models' faces with black stockings, which I loved.
Today we saw Animale on the runway and I was rather impressed. The Animale woman this season was all about clean and feminine lines. Most pieces were monochromatic, except 3 garments that appeared to have been drawn on. Very artsy! I would definitely like to get my hands on the long dress seen below. What do you think?
At the end of the week, I'll do another SPFW round-up, so stay tuned!
