Miuccia Prada  does not tire of expanding her empire. The next enterprise the group is buying is the Milanese pâtisserie Angelo Marchesi Srl, founded in 1824.

Since its inauguration, the Pâtisserie - located in an elegant building on Corso Magenta - is known for its sweets and chocolates and, at Christmas, for selling delicious fruitcake. For anyone who lives in Milan, Marchesi is really a landmark, a place frequented by the locals seeking sweet delicacies.

The purchase of Pâtisserie Marchesi reinforces the brand's positioning to invest in areas that do not strictly involve fashion, such as art, cinema and gastronomy.
