Now that the Fashion Month is over, we can focus back on the trends that will be accompanying us for the next few months.

On the runways last year, the influence of art in the fashion world was obvious. You only needed to look at the Celine and Prada shows from last spring to see that paint had found a new medium: the fabrics that adorn the bodies of stylish women. For this autumn, art remains one of fashion's muses.

This time, it was Op Art that stood out with its mesmerizing graphics. This artistic movement was pioneered by Bridget Riley. Think optical illusion – creating stripes, such as those in Dries Van Noten’s collection. Or three-dimensional details, for example in the origami-inspired designs of Christopher Kane.

Don’t hold back: invest in some art!
