When we talk about the no make-up look on the catwalk, we might assume that at least some foundation and mascara has been applied. But for the Marc Jacobs Spring 2015 show, no make-up means no make-up - not even a tiny drop.
Nars (the makeup brand behind the show) said the focus should be on skincare - and nothing else. Only a moisturizer was applied to the models’ faces.
This truly natural trend may have been influenced by the Normcore movement, which fosters a more natural approach to beauty as a whole.
Which brings us to the subject of hair. Alexander Wang also went for a natural look, with his athletics-inspired do. At his show low ponytails were complemented with a touch of oil, which added brightness to locks - voilá!
Simple, fast and natural. I’m all for this movement!
