Cleaning make-up brushes is not the most appealing task, but it has to be done, especially if you have a compact make-up kit and use the same brush for different tones. Ideally, you need to wash them once a month to remove the old make-up that accumulates and to prevent the proliferation of fungi - yuck!

Sephora has brush-cleaning sprays and make-up removing wipes designed specifically for this function. I've used both and recommend them! The wipes are practical and fast. The spray is great for a day of deep cleaning.

A more economical tip is to use Johnson's Baby yellow shampoo. This was suggested by the super make-up artist Victoria Ceridono from Dia de Beauté. Just put a little in the palm of your hand, wet the bristles of the brush and rub in a circular motion against a towel. Then rinse and let dry.

Brushes are a make-up investment, so it’s better to take good care of them to ensure they last as long as possible.
