Lucia Koch is one of the most important artists in Brazil today and it's no wonder why. Her work is very different; it is not fine art, sculpture or photography, but it involves an entire space, playing with architecture, light and shadow (sometimes natural, sometimes manipulated).

Her use of colored filters on surfaces (such as windows and building façade) is exquisite! The end result is an exploration of the internal vs the external, the intimate vs the public.

What I love most about her work is her ability to make you really look at, and interact differently with a space. We are also reminded that one function of this art is to highlight the "mundane" details of our day-to-day environments, making them more valuable and appreciated.
